UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP’s Global Leadership Conference assembled the heads of all UMG’s subsidiary labels (Blue Note Records, Capitol Records, Def Jam, EMI, Geffen Records, Interscope, Island Records, MCA Nashville, Motown Records, Virgin Records, etc.) for a summit included high level keynotes regarding the current state of the music industry.
Rick Rubin, Jimmy Iovine, Quincy Jones, Sir Richard Branson, Neil Diamond and others offered seminars on topics such as the discovery and development of recording artists and marketing and promotions across a wide array of formats.
The conference also featured an Innovation Lab to showcase the latest gadgets and tech breakthroughs related to the music industry. Executives were treated to exclusive demos of products ranging from the Oculus Rift to 3D printers to the latest in audio-cue robotic technology.
