The Good Sense Founders have had a personal stake in the Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) since its inaugural year. 14 years and 15 festivals later, we are proud to include them among our flagship clients.
APRIL 2016 | TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL
2016 marked the 15th Anniversary of the Festival and the second year of programming at the Hub at Spring Studios, where coders, creators and futurist storytellers showcased an exciting lineup of tech-driven events and installations. The 5th floor hosted interactive programs like Defcon and Storyscapes, and countless immersive VR Demos while the 6th floor hosted premiere screenings, Tribeca Talks discussions (Jodie Foster, Broad City, Richard Branson), exclusive music events and a series of niche conferences.
Live music continues to play a prominent part in the TFF lineup. At Spring Studios, Juliette Lewis and the Licks performed a possessed set of banshee blues after the premiere of doc "Hard Lovin' Woman". Green Day brought out Jesse Malin and Joan Jett to blow the roof off following the "Geezer" premiere. Steve Aoki turned the Beacon Theatre into a funhouse with a DJ set following the "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" premiere. Alicia Keys premiered her short film "The Gospel" at the Highline Ballroom followed by a scorching set of new tunes.
Other highlights include a star-studded 40th Anniversary screening of "Taxi Driver" at the Beacon Theatre, soccer legend Pelé taking center stage at the "Birth of a Legend" premiere, Tribeca Talks with JJ Abrams/Chris Rock and Tom Hanks/John Oliver, and Nate Parker's passionate acceptance speech at the ever-inspiring Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards.
