Good Sense & Company founded, curated and produced the New York Downtown Jazz Festival in 2012. A 3-day Launch Event was held outdoors in lower Manhattan, in hopes of finding sponsorship for the annual festival.

The spirit and potential for the jazzfest-that-never-happened was felt those three nights on the waterfront plaza of the World Financial Center. Night 1 featured an electric performance by sonic afrobeat pioneers Nomo. The Ravi Coltrane Quartet brought the crowd to pure reverie on night 2. Brooklyn jazz-punk-dance-skronk upstarts Moon Hooch, hot off of two nights of opening sets, closed the night 3 Local Artist Showcase with a mind-blowing set.
