In Collaboration with KENZO DIGITAL

BACARDÍ got more than they expected when they tapped artist Kenzo Digital to create their weirdest and wildest Halloween party yet. The centerpiece of the party, NOCTURNAL AWAKENING, was an immersive environment that utilized cutting edge technology to create an exciting visual assault on the senses.

Swizz Beatz, DJ Runna and Mark Ronson provided a soundtrack of deep hip-hop, funk and soul for guests that included Baz Luhrmann, Emily Ratajkowski, Kehinde Wiley and Alicia Keys. Most of the 1000+ guests came to party in full costume, adding another surreal layer to the already-outrageous atmosphere.

The massive, elevated structure that housed NOCTURNAL AWAKENING was 1/3 interactive art installation, 1/3 futuristic haunted house and 1/3 cinematic soundstage. Over 400 party guests (in groupings of six) experienced the live multi-sensory journey through mirrored rooms and infinite bat swarms, an inverted night chamber, down the abyss (a pitch black 16' tunnel slide) into a snowy winter forest, where they were magically transformed into a giant holographic bat.

This goliath of environmental scenery took nearly four days to build on site, after months of rigorous tinkering and testing, devising ways to bring Kenzo's otherworldly concepts to life.

When not warping innocent minds, the labyrinthian structure also served as the set piece for a short film also called NOCTURNAL AWAKENING, directed by Kenzo Digital for BACARDÍ:
